Camera & privacy

Your camera images stay on your device. This WebAR experience analyzes the live camera view in your browser to recognize a supported wine label and place animation over it. The experience does not save or upload camera photos or video.

Permissions

The experience requests camera access only after you press Start camera. It does not request microphone, location, motion, accelerometer, gyroscope, or magnetometer access. You can revoke camera access at any time in your browser or device settings.

Web requests

Like other websites, the hosting service receives ordinary request information needed to deliver the page and its label, video, and tracking files. The live experience is served with a browser policy that restricts network connections, images, media, and workers to this site. This notice does not claim that normal web-server request data is absent.

Anonymous experience analytics

The site records privacy-focused, aggregated website analytics and a small set of WebAR events: camera startup, a confirmed label target, a story beginning playback, normalized technical error categories, and an approximate city and state inferred by the hosting service from the visitor’s public IP address. When an error occurs, the site also records fixed technical states such as whether the tab was visible, approximate time-open and background-duration ranges, the last few predefined WebAR steps, and whether a later reload or recovery was observed. A temporary anonymous incident marker is kept in this browser for up to 24 hours so a later reload can be connected to the error; it is not a user account or persistent visitor identifier. These events help Conrad Family Wines understand usage and identify failures. They do not include camera frames, photos, video, precise GPS location, stored IP addresses, names, email addresses, browser user-agent strings, or free-form visitor text. IP-based city estimates can be inaccurate, especially on cellular networks or VPNs.

Testing reports

Instrumented proof links can create a report containing timing, relative tracking, browser, device, and selected test-profile information. It contains no camera frames, images, location, free-form notes, or personal identifiers. Reports are downloaded to the tester’s device and are not uploaded by this site.
